Colour depth is 16 bits.

Your session automatically terminates of you don't do anything for 2 hours.

Sessions are not persistent. It's like a real lab computer: Once you disconnect or logout all your windows are gone. Your saved data, of course, remains in your home directory.

Multimedia: Audio is not supported, and video may be choppy due to network speed and latency (but who wants video without sound?)

You cannot connect USB devices to the CSE desktop session. If you want to upload or download files, you will need to use the local computer to do so, maybe via CSE's Samba server.

Use the UNSW VPN, CSE VPN or an SSH tunnel when connecting from outside UNSW.

Free VNC client download: TigerVNC. Other VNC clients should also work.
