Toby Walsh's new book book, It's Alive!: Artificial Intelligence from the Logic Piano to Killer Robots has just been published by Black Inc. In the UK, the book is published under the title, Android Dreams: the Past, Present and Future of Artificial Intelligence.
Toby Walsh is Scientia Professor of Artificial Intelligence at UNSW and at Data61, Australia's Centre of Excellence for ICT Research. He was named by the Australian newspaper as one of the hundred rock stars of Australia's digital revolution. He has been elected a fellow of the Australian Academy of Science and of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence.
He regularly appears on TV and radio shows talking about the impact of AI and robotics. He also writes frequently for print and online media such as the New Scientist, American Scientist, and Cosmos. His Twitter account @TobyWalsh has been voted one of the top ten to follow to keep abreast of developments in AI.
