Adoption differs sharply across jurisdictions.
By March 2026, hybrid key exchange reaches approximately 57% of endpoints in the USA’s national sample and 52% in Australia’s, compared with 16% in Germany’s.
National adoption does not tell the whole story.
Government endpoints show a different pattern from the broader national samples. In Australia, government adoption is slightly higher, while Canada and India show substantially lower adoption among government endpoints. A national average can therefore hide important differences in public-service deployment.
Shared platforms account for most adoption.
Across all eight national samples, most hybrid deployments are attributed to provider-managed endpoints. National comparisons therefore need to consider the infrastructure serving those endpoints, alongside the transition guidance published by each jurisdiction.
