COMP9336 (rtf) Mobile Data Networking - Mahbub Hassan

COMP4601 (rtf) - Sri Parameswaran
- New Thesis courses for Computer Engineering:
Thesis A,
Thesis B - Sri Parameswaran
- New course proposal:
COMP4337 (rtf)/
COMP9337 (rtf) Wireless Security - Salil Kanhere
- Should we introduce soft skills as a compulsory
part of our programs? - Brad Hall
- Proposals from Student Representative Rupert Shuttleworth:
- Allow the stureps to read and post in every course forum (eg. the
COMP4001 forum complains that "only users granted special access" can
post)
- Every course webpage link to the sturep website in some way
(http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~stureps)
- Given that COMP3111 Software Engineering is now a "breadth elective" for
Computer Engineering and apparently no longer a core course, that the same
change be made to the Computer Science program. If necessary, perhaps
something like COMP3121 Algorithms could be offered as an alternative the
way it is in Computer Engineering? Speaking as a Computer Science student,
COMP3121 would seem like a more appropriate course than COMP3111.
BillW's comment - COMP3111 is core for CS because it is (or was last time
I looked) part of the requirement for ACS accreditation.
- Discussion of the conduct of courses in 06s1 - led by
Student Representatives
