Postgrad Programs

The Master of Computer Science program (COMPAS8680) aims to provide a broad computing education for students who already have a degree in a technical discipline, and who wish to move into the IT industry.

The program is mainly prescribed, to ensure that students cover the full range of computing topics. Students must complete all of the Foundation and most of the Core courses. Having achieved that, they may then choose a number of electives to complete their program.

Program Structure

96 Units of Credit (UoC) i.e. 16 x 6UoC courses The program also has a project option.

Entry Requirements

English and Mathematics as stated in the General Entry Requirements section.

A degree equivalent to an Australian standard Engineering or Science Bachelors degree of at least 4 years, where a distinction average was achieved over the final 2 yrs.
