Located about two hours drive out of Sydney in one of Australia's oldest towns, the Goulburn Brewery claims to be Australia's oldest. The site was acting as a brewery from 1838 under a succession of owners, culminating in Tooth and Co. who eventually closed it down in 1929. It was re-opened as a brewery in 1989 and now produces a number of lightly-hopped, open-fermented ales. Tours of the brewery are available.
