jas.Contacting

My current admin role is half of Associate Head of School. This means that I'm responsible for the overall structure, academic content, and direction of CSE's programs. This happens via the CSE Teaching Committee and the Faculty Undergraduate Education Committee.

Some things that I don't do:

There are other people who are specialists in these tasks (see the list below) and you should contact them. If you ask me, I'll simply refer you on, so you may as well save your time and go straight to the correct source (see below).

If you think you need to see me, send email (including your student id) and tell me what the problem is and I'll tell you whether you really need to see me.

If you don't want to send email, I have at least one general consultation each week; my consultation times are advertised on my Home Page.

The best place to start with student queries is the CSE Office. They can be contacted by sending email to undergrad@cse.unsw.edu.au. postgrad@cse.unsw.edu.au. They know all the tricky program/enrolment rules that I don't, have better contacts with the University administration than I do, and are thus likely to give you better enrolment advice than I can.

Other Contacts
