Yes, it is surprising how many different bat species can even appear in a s=
uburban garden. During the last two nights I recorded at least seven differ=
ent species of bats very close to our house in Berlin, Germany (see http://=

As mentioned here before, many common audio microphones can also capture ul=
trasounds. However, depending on the specific model, their sensitivity is v=
ery limited at higher ultrasonic frequencies (lets say above 30 to 50 kHz).
