Just to save other people from writing with the answer to this small mystery
from my current Gang-gang Whimsy. John Goldie has pointed out that Black Jay
is used for chough on the western slopes; this fits well with the presumably
onomatopoeic Wiyu too. Thanks John.
36 Pink-eared Ducks (and one dozey Freckled) at Kelly's this morning. Also a
heifer (insufficiently) harassing an unperturbed young fox.
cheers
Ian
