All There have been quite a few Buller's Shearwaters off SEQ this summer but Point Lookout this weekend produced at least 2 on Saturday (myself and Colin Reid) and a minimum of 12 (possibly up to 18) on Sunday (Andy Jensen). I'm interested to know if there has been a bigger single day count anywhere in Australia? These numbers follow on from a couple of weeks of a wet (sometimes very wet!) easterly air-stream on to the SEQ coast from N of New Zealand with a high in the Tasman. It will be interesting to see what is out-wide on Saturday from the Southport Pelagic. cheers Rob Morris Brisbane, Australia =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
