I was actually just about to disagree when I had another look at it. If the
white headpatch shows, then surely the white in the wings would come up as
well? There's clearly none there, which leaves only Rose, (or Pink? I'm not
at all familiar with them, too far south).

Hi Kevin,
Peter Ewin contacted me and asked why the robin couldn't have been a Rose
Robin. At first I was doubtful but I played around with the contrast and
brightness and now agree with Peter that your bird was indeed a Rose
Robin.
The microhabitat that it was photographed in is also right for Rose Robin.
Do you remember if it had a rose coloured breast rather than a scarlet or
orange-red breast?
