Hi, Everyone.
Late yesterday afternoon (April 3) I saw about 100-150 White-throated
Needletails flying low over Mortdale (in Sydney's south). Not only was
this the latest in the season I've ever recorded them in Sydney (previous
latest 31.3.91) but for me it was the latest anywhere. There have been a
lot of reports of WNTs in south-eastern Australia recently on birding-aus.
Is something unusual happening this year?
David Hair.
