Hi all,
Arrived at Ash Island yesterday at 7.20 pm to look for the two Painted
Snipe. Within 5 minutes of getting out of the car l managed to get excellent
veiws and some nice photos of both birds. They were in the same area as
reported previously, feeding in a shallow wetland approx. 120 metres off from
the road. For those in the area who haven't been out there yet this is a great
opportunity to see these amazing birds up close (with a scope) considering
there are only approximately 1,500? birds remaining in Australia.
Definitely made my day!!
Cheers
