Hi all
In connection with a local landscape plan we are thinking of arguing for some
Coast Banksias (instead of more eucalypts or Norfolk Island Pines), partly
because we think, especially with understorey, they will be good for smaller
honeyeaters (Little Wattlebird downwards).
Also it seems from our records that Noisy Miners rarely feed on Banksias (we
only have Coast and Silver Banksias naturally around here).
Could planting Banksias a good way of attracting the smaller honeyeaters but
not Noisy Miners ?
Hope you can help. I will collate replies and let you know the result.
Many thanks
Michael Norris
