A mention on the Torres Strait trip report caught my
eye when it mentioned the birders in camo? Was this
said tongue-in-cheek or do birders in Australia where
camouflage in the field?
In the U.S. the benefits of camouflage have been
debated at length on birdchat (our birding-aus). So,
I'm curious about what birders (birdos?) in Australia
wear in the field.
About the only consensus the American birders come to
is to wear neutral colors. Avoiding detergents with
brightners in them (or washing clothing in UV
blockers) might not be a bad idea either.
Thanks.
