      Fairy Martins, the first for the season, returned to what's  left of
their nests under the eaves outside our bedroom windows this morning,
despite a frost in he Valley.
      Heard a Scarlet Honeyeater yesterday, and watched three freshly and
brilliantly coloured  male Variegated Wrens together in the same family,
jumping around in the morning sun up Mayfair Rd for ten minutes.
      Golden-headed Cisticolas have been around all winter, but a male in
bright breeding  regalia was up on the phalaris stems tizzing away.
