Scrub Turkeys feeding, Indooroopilly, Brisbane.

This may be so well observed as to be not worth mentioning however......

Several of the neighbourhood population of Scrub Turkeys are just
reaching adulthood and appear to be a male and female who travel
together.  I think they are m&f as they have been travelling together
since they were "teenagers" and now one appears to have stronger colours
on the neck parts.  Any bare or mulched bit of ground receives their
attention and, if left to forrage (plough), the male will scratch with
one eye on the female's success rate.  If she seems to be on to
something, he chases her off and has it for himself.  I have seen him do
that 4 times in less than that many minutes.  In the last week or so
they have been together less.  Perhaps she is learning.
