As Trevor Quested has said Munghorn Gap is a marvellous spot for birds.  So
good in fact that the area is often visited by the Capertee Valley Regent
Honeyeaters.  We have had four movements of colour-banded Regents between
the Capertee and the Munghorn Gap-Wollar area now.  This is about 85 km as
the Regent flies.

If time permits, I would to encourage people to explore further afield,
particularly east to Wollar, only a short drive, and then perhaps
north-west along the Wollar-Ulan Road.  This could make a nice loop back to
Munghorn Gap.  I suggest this as the whole area appears suitable for Regent
Honeyeaters and would like people to look in places other, and as well as,
the usual spots.  This is probably the only way we are going to find "new"
locations for Regents.
