birding-aus Advice re assistance/encouragement for an 8 year-old birder

Stuart, a friend of mine, has an 8 year-old niece who is besotted by birds
and seems to have the makings of a life-long birder (she has binoculars, a
surprisingly good knowledge of her local birds (out Vermont way) and a
father with a modest interest in looking at birds).  Can anyone help Stuart
(see email address in the Cc line above) with advice re where he might
suggest his niece (or her father on her behalf) might go to support and
further her growing interest?  Presumably the Gould League is one such
option.  Does either BOCA or Birds Australia have a junior (very junior!)
chapter?
Any suggestions direct to Stuart would certainly be appreciated.
