Highlights by observers in New South Wales over the last week are as
follows:
GREY-HEADED ALBATROSS 1 caught & banded off Wollongong 4/7
FLUTTERING SHEARWATER many birds still off Sydney coast
SQUARE-TAILED KITE 1 Mitchel Park, Cattai 6/7
SPOTTED HARRIER 1 Capertee Valley 4/7
PACIFIC BAZA 1 Winston Hills, Sydney 5/7, 1 Freeman's
Reach, Windsor 7/7, 1 Mulgoa, Penrith 11/7
BEACH STONE-CURLEW 1 still present to at least 11/7
Bonnievale, Royal Nat Park, Sydney
YELLOW-TAILED BLACK COCKATOO many sitings of up to 50 birds in
Sydney suburbs in last two weeks
TURQUOISE PARROT 17 Wollombi Nat Park 5/7
SWIFT PARROT 22 Londonderry, Richmond 6/7
WHITE-BACKED SWALLOW 29 Capertee Valley 4/7
SINGING BUSHLARK several Cupitt's Lane, Richmond 4/7
REGENT HONEYEATER 2 Castleraegh Forest, Richmond 9/7
BLACK-HEADED MANNIKIN 1 Pitt Town Bottom Road, Windsor 6/7 - so
they still survive in Australia!
