Scott and Houlem: Both the White-throated Sparrow and Swainson's Thrush
have beautiful songs, but the Common Loon is by far <grin> emits the most
haunting call - althought it isn't a song bird, the loon's call functions
in a similar fashion. If am limited to passerines I would choose the Wood
Thrush' multi-harmonic song...
