Many thanks to John of Birds2 for posting the material from the Seabird site
to birdchat.
(If anyone on the birding-aus or ornith-l nets didn't get this, and wants a
copy, email me and I'll post a copy to you.)
As well as being profoundly worried about the threats to these magnificent
birds, I was also very interested in the latest taxonomic changes.
If anyone wants an account of this, you can get a lot of information at the
following site:
www.antdiv.gov.au/aad/sci/bio/albatross/albatross_b.htm
This site is linked to an Appendix which lists the proposed taxonomy and
breeding locations.
Cheers
John Penhallurick
