I have heard rumours of the following rarities over the last few days
does anyone have any more accurate information. ie dates, places,
observers name, authenticity etc?
Common Kingfisher
Christmas Island, A new bird for Australia if accepted
Savannah Nightjar
Christmas Island, two birds on the airstrip, nothing else known
Ringed Plover
somewhere in Victoria
Beach Stone Curlew and White-headed Pigeon.
Not national rarities but amazing records for Victoria
Grey Phalarope
Is the bird still there? what plumage is it in?
Regards
