Getting to Know Your Class
During the lecture, Andrew discussed that there we can think about three groups of students we might find in this course.
Red students have been programming for a long time. They might know a few programming languages and they may even dream in assembly code.
Yellow students have done a bit of programming and may only know one programming language to some extent.
Green students have never programmed before and are completely new to computer programming.
Try to figure out which group you fit into or which groups you fir between. Then introduce yourself to the rest of your class. Tell them your name and how much experience you have. Also discuss the following questions:
- Why have you decided to study computing?
- What do you hope to learn in this course?
- What are you hoping to achieve through this course?
You should also discuss these questions with your tutor and learn a bit about them.
- Why did they learn computing?
- What have they enjoyed about computing?
- What courses are they studying?
- How can you contact them?
