Computer Fair Outing - Sunday 15 Aug 2004

WIC volunteers will be holding tours of the computer fair at the square house. We'll distribute how to build your own computer booklets, and answer any questions you might have. If you came to the Build-your-own-computer Day last week, this is a chance to get aquainted with new hardware. If you missed last week's event, here's another chance to learn about what's in your computer, so, register and come!

Participants email: wic.participants@cse

Volunteers email: wic.helpers@cse

Don't forget to read WIC's guide to building your own computer to find out what you should know about CPUs, harddisks, memory and cases, before you go shopping for a new computer. You can then download sample shopping lists (with approx prices), and tables to fill out and compare prices with at the fair (or local computer shop). We'll print another run of the booklet soon, stay tuned for more info.
