My research fits in the broad area of data management, including: data modelling, query processing, access structures, multimedia retrieval, web search, information extraction. Currently, I'm working on modelling, maintaining and managing information related to researchers, organisations, projects, publications, conferences, etc.
In teaching, I focus on database-related courses, introductory programming, data structures and algorithms, and software construction. I've also dabbled with teaching web development. Finally, I work in the application of computing technology to educational needs e.g. course management, online role-play, academic proposals, degree planning.
