Hello, friends!

I am a second-year B.Eng/Comp.Sci. student running for the positions of Co-president, Secretary, and Treasurer.

This year I played my part as CSESoc's Arc Delegate and helped the society gain Arc sponsorship towards our many social events. I was able to acquire Arc's maximum sponsorship amount for our society before the first semester had even ended!

Not only this, but I was also (with the fantastic help of this year's executive team) able to claim the highly-contested Student Community & Development Grant for CSESoc's highly successful First Year Camp this year, a feat no other CSESoc executive has done before!

I really enjoyed helping CSESoc become the great society it is today, and would love nothing more than to be in a position to improve it further.

With your help I hope to lead this society to great things once more and to continue providing an amazing social experience for all CSE students.

A Letter to My Friends at CSESoc

Right from the beginning of my time at UNSW I have been active in the CSE community.

Having just moved to Sydney and not knowing a single person within 300 kilometers, I decided that I needed to get out, meet people, and make friends. I never expected to be embraced with the kindness and sense of belonging that I was given from CSE students. Not only did this leave a lasting impression on a lonely first-year, it also left its mark as a desire to include and assist others in the same situation. At the end of my first year at UNSW I was encouraged and decided to run for an executive position in CSESoc.

CSESoc is more than just a student club. CSESoc is the society which has given me the connection to so many amazing friends and memories. Although I didn't have much experience and had only been around a year, I was given the opportunity to serve alongside an amazing group of people. Today, CSESoc emerges a society greater than ever. We emerge as one of the most important and recognised constituent societies at UNSW.

I wouldn't be here without you guys. For the society that has given me so much, thank you. I hope you will give me the chance to lead it to an even better future.

Alternatively, come speak to me at the Socs Office, Basement Level, K17 Building.

I had the great pleasure of serving with the CSESoc Executive team this year. Thank you for making it a great year, Peter Milston, Aditya Keswani, Natalie Wong, Youssef Hunter, Sam Li, Ritwik Roy, Tim Wiley, and Max Swadling!

Thanks to Ritwik Roy for the background photo and for being a great help with Arc-related matters!
