For Industry
In April 2006, Australia's premier software
engineering event, the Australian Software Engineering Conference
(ASWEC), will be hosted at the Australian Technology Park in Sydney.
Leading software engineering practitioners, researchers, and vendors
will be participating in this annual conference, now in its twentieth
year.
ASWEC 2006 is an outstanding opportunity for you to
reach the 'thought leaders' in this industry with your message, and for
your SE team to network and exchange ideas with their peers in this
unique and innovative forum. There are three ways for your company to benefit:
Sponsor
There are several ways you can take advantage of
sponsorship to reach this important community of software development
practitioners and researchers. Sponsor packages start from as little as
$2000 and can be combined and customised to suit individual needs.
Lunch and cocktail mixer sponsorships are available,
keynote speaking spots, as well as standard exhibit spaces (Bronze) and
premium (Gold and Silver) branding opportunities.
Sponsors receive complimentary full conference
registrations, discounts, and the opportunity to submit an industry
experience report within the main conference program. See Sponsorship for further information. Last year, ASWEC sponsors included Oracle and Boeing (Gold), Redhat, Mincom, Bond University, and Object Consulting.
Contribute
ASWEC is seeking original submissions from
researchers, industry practitioners and developers. Presentation of
industry reports at ASWEC provides a unique opportunity for you to
communicate your experiences to other practitioners, researchers, and
the entire SE community of the applications of SE techniques and/or
tools. Please see Industry experience reports for more details
We are seeking firstly a short abstract of up to 200 words to be submitted at the submission site. You may submit as many abstracts as you like
Abstracts will be reviewed for congruence with the
themes of ASWEC and the author for each selected abstract will be
invited to submit a presentation document - either as a paper or a
slide-show - by 17 February for consideration for the conference
program. The final presentation document should be in camera-ready form
to be included in the conference CD to be provided to all those
attending.
If there is an extraordinary number of worthy
submissions, then the possibility of opening up another speakers strand
will be considered.
See Enquiries and Program Overview for more information.
Attend
ASWEC provides an exceptional forum for exchanging
experience and new research results in software engineering. It is the
premier technical meeting for the Australian Software Engineering (SE)
community and attracts a significant number of overseas visitors. At
ASWEC 2006 you will learn from leading researchers and practitioners
about the latest SE techniques and their application in industry. See Program Overview for more information and registration.
